Yarn Bombed a Gnome

Dean’s, one of our local garden centre’s have been really supportive of our yarn bomb project. They donated a couple of gnomes for us to play with, a friend has one and this is the other. I managed to get him bombed yesterday.

Yarn Bombed GnomeHe was a bit of a challenge because under his red woolly hat he is wearing a cap on sideways so the peak sticks right out. Hiding it was a bit tricky, so if you think he has a funny shaped head this is why.

Underneath the flower is a paint brush but I ran out of time to cover the paint bucket, maybe I can make it into a basket if I get time but as the event is this weekend time is what is running out eeeek!!

Charity Yarn Bombing – The first contribution gifts come in!

WOW, is what I have to say today, thank you to my blogging friends. There is too much to include in one post but here is a start. First to arrive was this gorgeous parcel from elisabethandree.wordpress.com who has sent all these wonderful bunting creations……………………

a host of beatiful flowers…………………….Elisabethandreeflowersand some really beatiful colourful cotton yarn along with 7 balls of baby pink that I am sure can be transformed into pink fishes, flowers or even a few little piggies for us to add to our project.

Of course the piggies will need wings if they are to fit the fantasy theme!

Then there was another bag with pink and peach cotton which I have started to make some flowers with.

They are not quite finished yet I need to add the stamens and another layer to the front to add a bit more dimension, a bit cinderellaish at the moment but they will be transformed over the next few days. Time permitting I will share the finished items later.

Right now to write the next few thank you posts so see you again soon.
