We would perhaps not generally think of snails in a kind light with their tendancy to invade our gardens. For such a slow moving creature they can wreek havoc in an amazingly short space of time. This bright and colourful snail is a gift from Snail of Happiness
This little critter is a different kind of snail though, he leaves no slimy trail as he slithers through the garden and he doesn’t eat your favouite flowers either. All he does is add a ray of colour streaking across the lawn.
He was rather tired after his journey so enjoyed an hour or two basking in the sunshine on the wall.He also brought all this lovely bunting with him too.
It is now neatly stashed ready to adorn the surgery in acouple of weeks.
I was so happy to receive this great Pom Pom Bunting in the post.
The colour is brilliant a complete festival in one row of bunting! Unfortunately I could not get a good shot of all the penants but here you can see the variety of colours.
The run of six goegeous penants each has a cute fluffy little pom pom at it’s tip and pom pom’s decorate the hanging string inbetween too.
Claire of Mollie and Claire kindly sent it for our yarn bombing, thank you so much, if you have yet to discover the delights of this great blog then why not hop over there now. Claire usually has a few projects on the go so there is always plenty to see.
It may be a bit late but wanted to share my Christmas creations with you while we are all in the seasonal mood. I made this little tree back in June, I can’t remember why I did it then , I think I just had a bit of time between projects and wanted to make an effort to be prepared for the holiday season.
These lovely little snowflakes were made last year and it was such a delight to get them out again. A simple pattern and quick and easy to make. I sprayed on some starch to stiffen them up too which worked really well.
Lastly, some festive bunting, looks quite good on the tree don’t you think?
Just a quick little post to share with you about this little heap of scrumptious colourful bunting.
I have made this before and really loved it so just could not resist the opportunity to make some more and I had the perfect excuse when it was a friends birthday this week.
This pattern was purchased from another blogger Zoomyummy through her Etsy store, the pattern is rather aptly titled Big Flower Party and includes several gorgeous flower patterns which I have also used to make flower garlands. The bunting is on the back page of the pattern.
The Mini Bunting is great fun to make and adds a splash of colour wherever you decide to hang it. The only trouble is once you start making it it’s hard to stop, I just keep thinking ‘it would look really good in this colour’ and make another one!
But alas I have to stop for now and get back to finishing Missy L’s blanket, the squares are nearly all joined now, only 19 left to do and I will be able to share a great ta dah moment with you.
