Woolly Beards

Yorkshire Beard Day 2015? Yes there really is such an event. My friend makes woolly beards and sells them at the TBBC Northern Beard Meet up at the Spa in Scarborough, this years event takes place on 21 March 2:00 to 7:30pm. Organised by The British Beard Club, it’s a family friendly event and it’s free, the funds raised from the sales go to The Prostate Cancer Charity UK.  An all round light hearted event that’s not only a good day out for the family but helps a good cause too. Great, I look forward to seeing them. The beard is the only thing I have made that my lovely hubby truly hates, it couldn’t bare it when I tried it on! But I am sure your little ones will have lots of fun wearing them.

Thanks, maybe you could use one to keep you warm in the garden in the cold months! My hubby hated it when I put one on though so perhaps not such a good idea.

What a fantastic holiday and I loved seeing all the beards. Until today I had no idea this kind of thing existed! Laughing a lot. Thank you.

I know exactly what you mean, it would never have occurred to me to make a woolly beard. It just goes to show that yarn has no limits, it’s only our imagination that hold us back, well me anyway.

I got crazy with this post,Geraldine! Well, I supposte that the beard stall would be my Big man’s paradise since I discovered he loves crafted beards. I will shamelessly allow myself to be inspired by your beautiful photos for a future crafty project for my companion…

I am so happy to have provided you with inspiration, Debbs who made the beards in this post is such a talented girl, really creative. i hope she will allow me to share more of her work with you I will send you her facebook link by email and you can see more there. I look forward to seeing your future creations. My husband really did not like it when I put the beard to my face, he found it totally freakish and insisted I remove it at once, so funny, I know how to wind him up now!

😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 Well, as I made my first beard I took a photo of me and sent it to my companion…. his hilarous and amused laugh cheered me up since he’s not easy to satisfy fellow…. he does not like doilies and all the decorative stuff I put in our home, he finds it so unpractical …. thanks for the link, I find your friend so talented too and can’t wait to see more of her work ❤ ❤ ❤

They’re great! Beards are in the Mollie Makes Red Nose Day book for the Crafternoon. Maybe some of the people I’ve invited will make some?
